I photograph entirely on 35mm film.
That choice is intentional. Film asks us to be present. To notice what’s in front of us instead of trying to perfect it. The images hold light, texture, and feeling in a way that’s hard to replicate digitally.
Film has a way of holding light and warmth that feels unmistakable.
It also changes the way I work. Slower, more intentional, more present.
There’s no excess — just one frame at a time, chosen carefully.
I’m not trying to capture everything.
Just what feels true.

A small, simple way to remember
One roll of 35mm film.
A short session with just enough space to make something meaningful.
This is for when you don’t need a full session, but you still want to mark a moment, quietly, honestly. Between 25-30 high resolution images delivered.
Because these sessions are brief and more contained, they aren’t suited for newborn sessions, which tend to need a little more time and flexibility.
Available for outdoor locations only within Vancouver.
01 — One Roll Session
$850
A session at home or an adventure to your favourite place.
We spend a couple of hours together, letting things unfold naturally and following your rhythm — your kids, your energy, your pace.
This is where we get a bit of everything: connection, movement, stillness, the in-between moments that often end up meaning the most.
Shot entirely on film.
Includes:
- A full gallery of high-resolution digital images (around 80 )
- Three loose 8x10 fine art prints
Ideal for families, maternity, and newborn sessions, especially when you want the space to move gently and follow what your baby needs.
Travel fees may apply.
02 — Full Session
$1895
This isn’t just a session — it’s time spent inside your real life.
I photograph your day as it unfolds.
There’s no pressure to do anything differently.
We follow what’s already there.
Morning routines, meals, transitions, the messy middle of the day, the quiet at the end. The things you don’t think to document, but will one day be the most meaningful.
This might be for you if:
You want to remember more than just a snapshot
You care about documenting your life as it actually is
You don’t need things to look perfect to see the value in them
You want your children to have a record of what these days felt like
Includes:
- A full gallery of high resolution film images
- Ten loose 8x10 fine art prints
$350 deposit to book. Payment plans available.
Travel fees may apply.
03 — Long Form Session
Your film gets sent to the lab to be developed and scanned.
The usual turnaround is between two to three weeks.
full Sessions and long form sessions include both digital files and loose printed photographs, because these images are meant to exist in your hands, not just on a screen.
You don’t need to prepare much.
Your home doesn’t need to look a certain way. Your kids don’t need to behave a certain way. You don’t need to know what to do.
I’ll guide you when it’s helpful, but mostly I’m paying attention — noticing how you are together and documenting that in a way that feels natural.
If we need to stop for snacks, take a break, or reset, we do that.
When you’ve booked your shoot, we’ll set up a time to talk.
Nothing formal — just a conversation so I can understand where you’re at, what matters to you, and how you want this to feel. I’ll also walk you through what to expect so you feel prepared without overthinking it.
How it works
All families are welcome. I proudly work with and celebrate LGBTQ+ families.
I recommend keeping outfits simple and comfortable — guidance is always provided.
Sessions can take place in your home, in a studio or outdoors, depending on what feels most like you.
There is no expectation of perfect behavior — children are welcome exactly as they are.
a
If you’re looking for highly posed, fast-paced sessions, this may not be the right fit. And that’s okay.
What matters most is alignment.
You want your children to one day remember how deeply they were loved
You’re drawn to film — the grain, the softness, the way it holds light and memory
You’re drawn to images that tell a story, not just show a smile
You want photographs that feel honest, emotional, and lived-in
You value connection over perfection

Annette and I are so grateful to have worked with you, Lorenza, at different chapters of our lives. You’ve captured a side of us that I didn’t know existed and we’re forever thankful for you.
I grew up in Italy, flipping through old photo albums.
Even then, I understood these weren’t just photos — they were a way to return to a feeling, to a moment that had already passed.
That stayed with me.
Now, as a mother myself, I see even more clearly how quickly these days move.
And how much the small, ordinary moments matter.
That’s what shapes the way I photograph your family — with care, with intention, and with respect for things as they are.
If you have any other questions, you’re always welcome to reach out.
I’m here to help this feel easy.
Please don’t worry, truly. Children are wonderfully unpredictable, and that’s part of the magic. During your session, your only job is to be there with your people. I gently guide, but I never force. If your kids need to run, cuddle, snack, or regroup, we follow their rhythm. Often, the very moments you think are “not working” become the images you treasure most, the ones that hold the truth of who they were in this season.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
Because I shoot on film, I pay close attention to natural light.
Before your session, we’ll go over your space together and find the areas where light falls best. I’ll guide you throughout, so nothing feels forced — we simply work with what’s already there.
What about lighting in our home?
Most sessions happen in your home or somewhere meaningful to you.
It could be your living room, your neighbourhood, a favourite park — anywhere that already holds your life.
I’m always happy to help you choose a location that feels natural and aligned.
Where do sessions take place?
Each offering is designed for a different rhythm.
One Roll Sessions are short and simple.
Full Sessions allow for more space.
Long Form Sessions are for documenting a fuller stretch of your life, beyond a single moment.
If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to guide you.
How do I choose the right session?
It doesn’t need to be.
I’m not looking for perfect spaces. I’m looking for real ones. The way your home holds your life is part of the story. We’ll work with the light and the spaces that feel good.
What if our home doesn’t feel “photo-ready”?
Film takes a little more time.
Your rolls are sent to the lab to be developed and scanned. The usual turnaround is between two to three weeks.
When will we receive our photos?
It depends on the offering you choose.
One Roll Sessions are shorter (around 30–45 minutes).
Full Sessions usually last a couple of hours.
Long Form Sessions unfold over a full day.
Each one is designed to give us the right amount of time for what we’re creating together.
How long does a session last?
If you’re drawn to honest, artful images that reflect your family as you are — the tenderness, the chaos, the quiet in-betweens — then yes, we’re likely a beautiful match.
I’m here for families who value presence over perfection and want photos that feel like memories, not performances. If you're looking for traditional, posed portraits, there are wonderful photographers who specialize in that — it’s simply not where my heart lives.
But if you want images your children will one day hold in their hands and feel their childhood in… then I’d be honoured to create them with you.
Am I the right photographer for you?
— EMILY
