Rebeka, eight months into carrying her baby boy.
She wanted to honour her body — in all its growth, strength, softness, and change. No hiding. No holding back. Just truth, beauty, and presence.
From the moment we began her session, there was a quiet stillness in the air — a sense of calm that felt sacred. The light that day was soft, wrapping around her like an embrace, highlighting every curve, every breath, every quiet piece of anticipation.
Photographing maternity — this season of in-between, of waiting and becoming — is something I feel deeply called to do. There’s a tenderness in it, but also an undeniable strength. A woman’s body holds so many stories, so many transformations, and allowing it to be witnessed in this raw, honest way is an act of courage.
Our bodies carry life. They change and stretch and shift in ways that can feel both beautiful and unfamiliar. But when we pause long enough to truly see ourselves — to honour the love, the vulnerability, the sheer power of it all — something extraordinary happens. We reclaim the beauty of what it means to be human, to be growing, to be alive.
It takes bravery to be photographed like this — to let go of expectations and simply exist as you are. But in that surrender, there’s magic. There’s legacy. These are the images that tell the story of becoming a mother, of carrying love before it had a name.
To anyone growing life, and growing in the process — I see you. It’s an honour to hold these moments for you, to create a space where you can feel both strong and soft, powerful and tender — fully, unapologetically yourself.
