Some sessions feel less like a photoshoot and more like stepping into a quiet chapter of someone’s life — one they’ll look back on years from now with full hearts. My morning with Annette and David was exactly that.
We began in their cozy apartment, the space where they’ve built their life together — slow mornings, easy conversations, shared routines that feel like second nature. There was such a calmness in the air, a softness that comes when two people are savoring the final days before everything changes. As the light moved through the rooms, they held each other, laughed quietly, and let themselves simply be present.
Afterwards, we wandered the trail they walk together every day — the one where they dream aloud, talk about the future, and imagine who their little one might become. The warm summer breeze, the sound of leaves brushing overhead, the steady rhythm of their steps side by side… it all felt like a love letter to their “before.” Soon, these peaceful routines will be joined by new rhythms, new sounds, and the tiny footsteps of someone they already love so deeply.
What struck me most was how gentle everything felt. No posing, no rush — just the honest tenderness of two people on the edge of a new beginning. Lately, I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to these quiet, unassuming moments: the way a hand reaches for another, a glance shared across the room, the way morning light wraps itself around an ordinary moment and makes it extraordinary.
These are the memories that don’t shout, but linger — the kind that stay tucked in your bones long after the season has passed. And capturing them for Annette and David felt like holding time still, just for a moment.
